Great news for Manu Tuilagi fans who have been worried over the injury news of the popular Leicester Tigers & England centre- The star rugby player is showing steady signs of improvement and would be back to the field soon.
According to latest reports, Tuilagi might return to boost for a solid play-off place for Leicester Tigers. The British and Irish Lions hero hasn’t taken to the field since October’s Tigers’ Champions Cup triumph over Ulster given his serious groin injury.
However, Richard Cockerill, the rugby director of Tigers, believes that the England centre is steadily moving on towards complete 100 % fitness of late which could be a great advantage during Premiership campaign.
“He has been improving really well all through & we would prefer to believe that with the finalization of Six Nations, Manu would be perfectly in for run-in”, stated Cockerill while approached to speak a few lines about Manu’s latest health status.
“He has just played 4 matches this season for us. He & Allen (Ant) have been great over the past years & hence we are solely missing the absence of our 1st-rated mid-field- as such an absence would be strenuous for any squad.”
Tigers were largely criticized for their inability to come up with sufficient tries and Manu’s extended absence & Allen’s knee injury, did not help.
When it comes to Manu & Allen, they have played for fifteen times this very season & just once together. It was in the 2nd game of this season where both of them lined up in the match against the Exeter Chiefs.
“The groin seems to be quite a tedious affair since it’s connected with all the other things. When you are suffering from a groin issue, it’s generally niggling away, particularly when it concerns somebody as mighty as Manu”, Cockerill added in.
